brisco is on a distinguished road
Default high alk

Just measured my Alk and it is at very high at 12.6 dkh/4.5 meq. Calcium is 415ppm. Ph 8.35, temp 79 and salinity 1.026, mag is 1300 ppm. Phos is 0

Used a Salifort test kit, my Hanna (recalled reagent) puts it at 10.7 dkh/3.82

couple of questions:

Is this okay? Can I wait for it to reduce naturally?

Why is it so high?

ps

all coral and fish seem happy enough
