Who knew those 10 gallon aquariums from Walmart are made of tempered glass? I found out when I tried drilling the tank's overflow. POP!!!

I have some porcelain tile sitting in the garage, I might use one to replace the broken side.

I put a new pane of glass on the busted aquarium and plumbed the two tanks together. The red line is the return, I might make it look a bit better sometime in the next few years. I will ghost feed the tanks and let them cycle in the dark for a few months.

A mandarin would be my ideal, they are a stunning fish. I'll see how big of a pod population this system supports before making my choice.
