I had something similar happen to me years ago when trying to remove a purple mushroom from a rock. When I squeezed it the water inside shot out and got me in the eye and it was a terrible burning pain. Didn't last 3 weeks though, probably just 4 hours or so.

OUCH!!!! I've talked to a friend a couple of times about this.. He got really really sick.. Maybe he will post his experience again?
