Default max spec gyre from my 40

Thinking of changing to the new gyre pump on my 6 ft tank. Just wondering what people's experiences are.

Had mine running since mid December and can't say enough good things about this pump. I'm also running it on a 6ft tank. Well worth it in my opinion.

Running 2 of the gyres on my 6ft 300 gal. They were a bit noisey for the first week or so but now they're great. No complaints here. I really like the fact that you can adjust the direction of flow.

I'm digging mine. 2 on a 275 gallon.

My biggest complaint is also their biggest selling feature - the flow pattern they create truly is a 'gyre'. It means that if you've got something annoying like internal overflows, or an oddly shaped tank, you're giving up a heck of a lot of flow efficiency.

If I had gyres from the start, I would have planned both the tank, and the aquascape differently.

Of course this means I've got a spring project

Thanks for the tip. I've got a 180 gal bow front with internal over flows.
