Default Reef Supplies Review

I recently placed my first order through Reef Supplies. I usually buy locally, but there were a few items I was not able to source locally - ATI T5 bulbs, Elos test kits, and a Sicce impeller.

I placed the order Thursday March 26th. I received a phone call from Ray within 10 minutes of placing my order to say the one UVL bulb I ordered was not in stock. Surprisingly, Ray subbed this with an Elos test kit for no additional charge (there was a $7 price difference). I got a FedEx Ground tracking number that afternoon (same day shipping - nice!).

The package arrived on Tuesday March 31st damaged, and not sounding good (glass never sounds good when it's damaged haha). Despite very good packaging, two of the four bulbs were clean broke in the middle. I sent Ray an email right away with pictures of the damaged box and bulbs and he replied very quickly saying he would send out replacement bulbs right away.

Tuesday April 7th I received the replacement bulbs with no additional charges. Again, excellent packaging.

Definitely a 10/10 experience with Reef Supplies. Thanks Ray!

I also recently got a Reef Supplies order; third time I've used them.

They emailed AND called right away to let me know that one item was on backorder, and asked if I wanted to wait until everything was available, or if I needed the other items right away.

I really appreciated the call and the care.

Orders arrive well-packed.

I've not had many BAD experiences with online reef equipment ordering, but the care I've gotten from Reef Supplies staff has been a really nice treat. So-- thanks

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Myka, I had no idea it was you :-) Nice to finally talk to you and it's great to see that you have chosen to purchase for us!

Sorry about the UVL Super Actinic. They have been had to come by for some reason, we are working on a solution. The Super Actinics that we have left in stock are the 24W :-(

Im glad the second batch of bulbs arrived ok. We pack them very well, I was shocked to see them broken. That first box must have been badly mishandled.

Thanks again everyone!

Ray's service is great! Now if only Canada Post could deliver the packages on expected delivery date.

Hey Ray, yeah good to unofficially meet. I'll catch you next time on the UVL bulbs no biggie.

For me, it's all about what happens when there is an issue with a shipment or an issue with a product. That's where customer service really shows. Any monkey can make a smooth transaction look good.

In retail, things go wrong, it'as inevitable.

What adds the most value from my perspective as a consumer, is how it is handled once it does go wrong.

A+
