Default Anyone using the Lumenbright 3 Pendants?

I am collecting all the new equipment I need for my new tank and have some Lumenbright 3 Reflectors on the way. Just curious as to what people think of them?

They will be used as pendants (so seen but my place is completely industrial looking, so they will fit right in) with dual 400watt MH, probably 14K or 20K as the only lights. Thats over a 200G, 72"x30"x22" tank. Just want to illuminate two islands but still curious about the area they cover?

I can always add another if needed but I really hope 2 400's with these reflectors will be enough. They seem comparable or as good as the Lumenarcs.

Thanks Jack. This was all based on your advise to try lighting the tank with just the two 400 watt MH and good reflectors.

That article was perfect. Kind of reassured me

I choose the Lumenbrights over the Lumenarcs for a few reasons but mostly because they are meant to be mounted much higher from the water surface and still give out better PAR than most other reflectors. They apparently should be about 18-22" up off the water which is great for heat issues Also giving great coverage.

I was reading the long thread on RC about Lumenbrights vs. Lumenarcs and most of the people who used both said they like the Lumenbrights better. The only downside was if you have a canopy, then they usually don't work out too well since they have to be so high up...then the lumenarcs were better.

Where did you get the Lumenbrights from?

Someone on the board. Brand new, never used

I think he got them from the US maybe? I only found them in the US anyways. I was going for the Lumenarcs until I found people saying the Lumenbrights are actually better IF you have the room to keep them high up.
