Default Anyone have any acrylic sheets/scraps?

I am building a tank this weekend and thought I would ask here before I go buy it saturday.

Building a 21"x21"x21" rimless cube, Needs to be at least 3/4" but 1" might be even better...so if you have enough for that, let me know.

Also looking for Weld on if you want to unload some

Thanks!

If you are in need of alot of it, then go to industrial paints and plastics and look in the off cuts section. Thats where i go to buy all the parts i need. There's one in richmond and also in poco.

Thats where I was heading Saturday if I don't find anyone here with some. There has just been a few times someone here happened to have a half sheet or something laying around so i thought I would ask.

1/2" would be fine for 21x21x21 with eurobrace. I would recommend buying new acrylic, because you don't want anything with hidden scratches, or if its bent from standing on end.. I would recommend weldon 4 and the 'pins and shims' method (thin wire 0.014" for 1/2). Get scraps for practice welding, and how long it takes to melt the acrylic for bubble free joints. Cellcast and extruded welding times differ with environment

I recommend reading the best thread on acrylic ever. Lots of good advice and pictures

Well 1/2" is going to be way too thin for my project. I actually have 1/2" laying around from a sump I built for a friend last year.

I have made 3 sumps now out of acrylic and feel I have decent experience. None leaked
