Default Clam Lighting Req?

Hey everyone I got a clam and its been alive for almost a week with no signs of stress. I must be doing something right. I was thinking about getting him a little buddy but before I did I was wondering what the light requirements for clams are.

Right now I have the Nano cube HQI, but I was thinking of upgrading my tank to a redsea 250 in a year or so. Would that still have enough lighting? I rather sell 1 clam down the road rather than 2.

Photo? Its probably a crocea.

If its under HQI now, its probably fine, and as you said it seems happy. I don't know what the Red Sea 250s come with for lighting. I find clams thrive under MH, do quite well under T5s, but find the colour spectrum plays a larger role, and I've seen some promising data for LEDs.

the clams at RC are croceas......12 clams here...all under T5.....yours should be fine.....a more relevant question is "how "mature" is your tank?"
