Default T5 dimmable ballast and Apex help

I am not familiar with ballasts etc.
Can someone tell me if my Apex will allow me to ramp up any T5 ballast or do they have to be dimmable?
Type or brand recommended if needed?

Thanks

The ballasts have to be dimmable and you'll require 0-10v control capabilities on your apex. Sylvania brand ballasts are probably the most commonly used.

Thanks.
The 0-10 capabilities...Is that what the ballasts have to be to be compatible with the Apex or do I have to but an add-on for the Apex.
Sorry if it is a dumb question. I am electrically challenged.
