Default what is better a refugium or a sump???????

HELLO TO EVERYBODY AND THANKS FOR THE ALL THE ADVICES .... NOW CAN ANYBODY SAY WHAT IS BETTER TO HAVE A REFUGIUM OR A SUMP???
ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT IT WILL BE APRECCIATED... THANKS AGAIN.......

Just a new reefer getting better and deeper,120 gallon truvu accrylic, 46 gallon sump, nautilus te skimmer, 75 lbs LR, hamilton 175 metal halydes, seino M620, hagen 802, 2 koralia4s, sailfin tang,rusty angel, lamark angel, dk blue surgeon fish, percula mated pair, golden headed jaw fish, 1 Brittle star, and the cleaning crew.

They have completely different uses or can be combined in the same unit but it would be hard to say which is better??? A sump is handy for hiding away your gear, extra water volume etc.. A refugium is to provide an area for critters to grow without the predation of your main tank as well as possibly grow macroalgae in the hopes of lowering nutrient levels.

my one is combine both, and i find out it's really good idea
no matter my reef tank or fish tank
i use a big tank to make it sump and refugium combine together

Default thanx for the refug sump ideas

Well all I am convinced that refug is for me have tried all else and will keep trying everything in between just checked the sale section and have contacted on a 20 gallon. ummmm if anyone in the lower mainland chills through to Van has a refuge set up for sale pls pm me will pu thanx for the advice
