Default Why are there so few green salt water fish?

Eh Canreef!

Little stumped on this one so I thought I would reach out to see if anyone has some more insight.

Why are there so few green fish in the ocean? Realistically I can only think of a few species of parrot fish, wrasses and mandarins that display the color. I'm sure it has something to do with the way light is perceived by fish eyes under water but my google searches have yielded nothing.

Andddd go!
