Come on by for a visit anytime Warren , no need to buy anything. Or maybe you can come over sometime with Rich , however he's probably getting tired of coming over here lol

I am no expert by any means but i had the same problem about a month ago...for me it was low alk and mag to start with, then i discovered my skimmer pump had a snail stuck in it and wasnt pumping much water all. fixed all that and they stopped stning after a day or 2, i also cut back on feeding the fish a tiny bit.. So i beleive i had too high nutrients, not enough oxygen and too low alk and mag

I did end up fragging up the pieces it was too late for and they are thriving now...

Thanks Rosko, everything seems to be in check. Tested yesterday. I wouldn't mind checking my o2 levels.

Alk : 8.3
Ca : 430
Mg : 1275
Salinity : 1.025
NH3 : 0
NO2 : 0
NO3 : 5 (finally dropping)
PO4 : 0 Salifert (bought a Hanna, but haven't tried it yet)
pH : 8.24 - 8.31

I wouldn't fret about O2 if your skimmer is producing micro bubbles under the foam head

Everything appears to be back to normal. Ended up tossing the piece as it was too late to save. Going to monitor for one more week then begin mounting the frags.

I phrased that wrong. I should have said low dissolved oxygen is stressful for fish and stress makes the fish more prone to parasites. Higher DO would help the fish be less stressed.
