Question Canister Filter Media

What kind of filter media should I be using for my FOWLR? I have been running it with ceramic per-filter, Carbon & BioMax.

how much live rock do you have? If it is 1/3 your tank then the only thing in your cannister should be carbon, if you run any substrait or mech you can get a build up of nitraits in your tank. to make a long story short your live rock is supposed to be doing the filtering.

I have 11lb of live rock 20lbs of live sand in my 32gal. I just bought another 13lbs of live rock but it is uncured so I have this curing right now.

So should I take some of the media out?

once the live rock is cured and it is in the tank, slowly take the media out, and then add carbon to the filter once the filter is empty. you just dont want to upset tthe biological cycle, once the demand on the live rock is elevated it will start taking over the filtering process.
