Default Raising PH with Baking soda?

Hi guys, I know this is possible, but culd someone explain how to do it, with quantities and exactly what to do. I have 300 gal. that I would liketo get the PH higher, so my calcim reactor will auto turn on. The PH is sitting at 8.0 and calcium at 400ppm. How can I get the PH up tp 8.4- 8.6 and keep it there. I have heard a kawlwisser (spelling sorry) drip, can that be done on a continuous drip without a reactor??
Sorry but alot of questions, but excited about getting the CA+ reactor kicking.
Thanks,
