Another option would be to drill the hole out clean, thread it with a tap & get an appropriate threaded fitting to screw in. A nylon fitting/adapter would work great, more flexible than acrylic & won't snap as easy. A bit of teflon tape to seal the threads & should be bomber for a drain with no real pressure to worry about.

Check out the photo of my old beast. A bit tough to see on the pic, but you should be able to make out the nylon fitting in my cup for the drain tube. The fitting is off an old wooden air diffuser. Store bought diffusers come with them, so I get a new one every time I buy a diffuser.

You can buy special glue just for gluing acrylic. We use it at work. Works great.
