Default Back to school sale! $150 for 50lbs shipped.

Back to School Sale!
50lbs of Dry Reefer Rock for only $150.00
This includes shipping any where in Canada.

Our Reefer Rock is a natural calcium carbonate rock that is from an ancient coral reef.
This rock is not harvested from a living coral reef and is free of organic material.
The rock is also very porous and is easy to aquascape with.

Visit www.eco-reefer.com for more details!

Don't forget to visit our Tools section for how-to guides and other useful information.

EcoReefer

Just wondering if you can comment on how the dry rock you are selling is different or better than "Caribsea South Seas Base Rock ".

As "Caribsea South Seas Base Rock " states it:

Has much more structure than any other commonly available aquascaping rock and is much more porous than others as well (you will get more rock for your money).

South Seas base rock is a calcium carbonate base rock that is very similar to actual reef rock, and at one point actually was, although obtained terrestrially from ancient coral reefs underground.

Thanks

Without seeing Caribseas South Seas or Primo Reef Rock first hand I can only go by their description / photos. Our Reefer Rock would be identical in mineral makeup (calcium carbonate) but from their pictures I would say our rock would be more porous and more constant in characteristics (color, surface shape, porousness).

Every box of the Caribsea stuff I've seen has been dense as heck - definitely not at all porous compared to "regular" reef rock. The only thing it might be any good for is serving as really heavy base stones for any precarious reef structures.

That, and Torsten (EcoReefer) is really great to deal with - I tried to set up a group buy on our local Toronto forum, which fell through, but Torsten was really awesome to work with at every step. I'd definitely recommend buying from him
