Default Coralife Ballast Died...what to do?

1 of my Aqualight Pro 250w ballasts just packed it in today. What is the best course of action repair or replace? What and where are the best replacement options?

you can do 2 things:

1.) Call coralife http://www.oceanicsystems.com/, and get another

2.) or by a third party ballast. If magnetic, then just use it... But if electronic, you will need to remove the ignitor module in the unit. The fan is also tapped into the 2 ignitors in the unit, so if you do this, then you will have to rewire the fan to power off something else. No biggie though.

Hope this helps

Do you know specifically which ballasts just plug in? I have heard that the coralife ones arent that good anyway and I dont really want to tear the whole fixture apart.

the aqua medic cube looks like a great Magnetic(m80) ballast. Not sure if its plug and play with your fixture tho
