Default 100gal Build: New Pics

Well we've decided to move and setup a new tank in the process. The new tank will have a new theme, simplicity

For those who don't know, this was my previous setup which is now long gone.

The new tank will be somewhat of a downgrade but still a decent size for what we want. The tank dimensions are 54"x22"x20". All filtration will be stored in the stand in a somewhat more traditional fashion.

If all goes to plan the tank will be complete with livestock within 2 weeks, with the exception of some details like the final stand finish.

I will do my best to add details and pictures of the build as it pursues.

Default Stand Update

I built the frame for the stand this weekend. I opted for complete construction from 3/4" plywood as appose to the standard 2x4 construction for added strength and more space within. The stand will be finished with another skin cover once the house decor is decided.

Yeah that's looking really tight already. I love it when people post the down 'n dirty stand builds in pieces.

Glues and screws...she's gonna be strong!

Looking at your previous set - up, I'll definitely be following this build. Your previous set up was tight man. Can't believe you jammed all that equipment into that stand. You're already planning to maximize your room with the plywood stand. Great job. I see that you've painted another stand in your garage judging my the paint spray in the picture! ...

Keep the pictures coming as you build.

I guess not but it will be nice in it's own way.

Here's a sneak peak at the glass going together

BTW, my camera is packed so you'll have to live with pictures from my phone
