I have mine on the side, placed horizontally 2.5" from the top of the water line of my 4 foot 150g tall aquarium. I have two Tunze 6105s on the opposite side, a little more than half way down. All are controlled by a Neptune Apex.

Sure would like to see a video of that. I'm thinking of doing something similar in a 4ft 120 with a single 6105.

Are you doing alternating waves with apex? or just on/off the outlet supplying power to the controller?

Subscribed! I'm getting a gyre 150 right away and have 2 other tunze 6055, mostly sps but the wife like lps also... I find it a PITA trying to get the best of both worlds but oh well so I need to figure this out aswell soon. Right now my 120 is cycling and almost ready !
