Default Odd Sharknose Goby Behaviour

Anyone seen a Sharknose Goby(or any of the neon goby family) do this? I have a neon goby & a sharknose goby housed together in a 20g by themselves and this is what the sharknose has done. I've never seen or heard of one digging their own burrow. They both get along great together. I'm wondering if this is a possible sign of breeding behaviour.
