But hey, on a serious note (although I'm serious with the number of corals!!), Wayne's second attempt at a SPS tank has turned out amazing. The pics he posts are very representative of what they look like in real life. Great job!

see… is T5 still better? or properly set up LEd better?

it's either he somehow acquire another 25+ frags after the last frag count 2 weeks ago, or he lied to me.

Yes, for me T5 is still better. I'm just not a fan of LED. I've even given thought to going back to MH
I can't say for sure, but I think he may have lied to you -lol

Default April update...

In March the tank experienced a set back when I was taking out two clowns and a yellow tang. Many of the corals were out of water for at least an hour and a half as I had to drain eighty gallons of water out. Catching the yellow tang was easy however, the clowns were a bit of a challenge as they were small enough to squirm into the rocks making it hard for me to get at them.

Being out of the water that long the corals showed their displeasure. Many of the sps lost their nice colors and some, like the validas bleached out and quite a few of the tips were fully covered with algae like they had a chia pet head. Most of the corals recovered but the bonsais and nanas didn't so much and I had to clip off most of the tips.

Over the last three weeks, the corals bounced back to its normal form. The tank had experienced an increase in phosphate from 0 to 0.02 but I expect this to fall back to 0 soon.

New top down pics from tonight...

Could be worse - could be a crack habit instead
Unless the crack made him buy all those frags ...
