I have a brute container that automatically fills with RO water. There is a ball valve plumbed into it so I have fresh RO available on demand. I also use this container to top off my tank through a float valve in the sump. My ro filter is on a garden water timer and I have programmed it to run for an hour a day to refill the water in the container with a float valve on the end in the event that the brute container ever gets full. I usually only keep it 1/3 full though because I don't want to dump 20 gallons of water into my sump if the float valve ever failed. The automation is great. I like never having to think about freshwater top off, however if I had the space I would have liked to have a separate RO storage container and a separate RO top off container.
