yes its the same , same pump really lol when the power goes out it comes back to its programmed speed.

one little note though that when the pump is put into feed mode it does back siphon , i hope they do something about that in the future

Have you or anyone for that matter used one of these in a closed loop setup?

planning on using a 1326/dc5000 for return and one for a bottom drilled closed loop, just don't know if this will be the safest pump to use for the closed loop...

Using for a closed loop should be just fine, I'm using an old Dolphin pump & it uses way more power then one of these.

BTW Denny, are they still in a stack or just a little pile

i havent put one on a closed loop yet but this is the reason we even ordered any in the first place , we were told these are ideal for closed loop and our store display is going to be a sps display with closed loop. maybe by the time we get the store tank going they have the ability to be ramped up or down via controller , right now its just timers and speed set.

haha actually they are in a stack lol i was gonna change the title then i realized i actually have a pyrmid shaped stack of them set up

so with that said , we are sold out on the 2640's for now but have more on its way as we speak

we do have the 790's and 1320's in stock.

The pumps look promising, do you know if they will be coming out with some higher GPH models in the future?
