Default Question: After removing coraline algae

I finally broke down and bought a bunch of razor blades and removed an abundance of coraline algae from my right side pane. I got it all off with some elbow grease and using lots of sharp blades.

I am seeing a haze on the top of the glass where the coraline was thicker and harder to remove. Glass isnt scratched or damaged, but this roughness can be felt when using my magnet cleaner or if you look at it on an angle where the light enhances it. Is this a calcium deposit? Or minerals? If so, how do I remove to make the glass prestine?

Otherwise all is good, I just want perfection. Anyone with experience with this situation?

About the only way i can think of if it is calcium build up is clr but you sure don,t want to do that to a running tank. The other option is to use the finest wet sandpaper you can find very lightly rubbing the spot that is rough.

I did the same thing to the back wall of my tank awhile ago. I ahve the razor attatched to the mag float. After a few weeks of scrapping it's no longer there. I'd just run the razor along it every day or 2 when i cleaned the glass.
