You should think about getting some T5 to really kick things off.

I am saving up for the new ATI... set up a piggy bank and putting a loonie in there each day. I think I will be able to buy one in 6.3 yrs.

It's been a pretty rewarding and satisfying night... Water change, sucked out all the crud accumulated the last three months and replaced the vertex alpha 200 skimmer with the newly acquired BK 200 mini... Here is a pic of it in the sump... Will be tuning the skimmer the next couple days and hope to hit that sweet spot.

If all goes well the vertex alpha will be up for sale!

Vertex Alpha > BK Mini

You're going backwards, Wayne!

Well.. let's see how the BK runs first... I have not written the Alpha off by any means. Both are great skimmers but I think the BK may be more practical for my sump.

Thanks! Can I ask the Skimmer King on his opinion on both skimmers?

Alpha 200 vs BK mini 200 with gen 3 pump?
