Default Ph question

My PH gets as high as 8.55 right before the MH lights goes out...Just wondering if that is too high and how can I lower it....Usually when the lights come on PH is at 8.10-8.20....suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds pretty good to me, I wouldn't sweat it at all.

Default Ph question

I have a similar problem that I attribute to a large amount of algae (50 gallon tank worth) carrying out photosynthesis in my refugium. It is almost always at 8.35... and then when I add 2 part buffer it can climb as high as 8.51

Never had any problems,

Cheers,

Jeff
