Default Eheim Pro II canister filter leaking

Hey everyone, so I am using a Eheim Pro II canister filter, it recently started leaking, and after inspection, it looks like its from the primer, has anyone used any Eheim filters and had this problem?

I was planning to just using silicon to completely seal off the primer since I don't use that function anyways, will that work?

thanks.

I've had the valve that the hoses attach to crack on me a while ago.

Pehaps inspect that closely since it can fill the pump and appear to look like the primer pump is leaking.

so after close inspection last night, I found that the intake area's oring isn't doing its job anymore, replace that and its good to go again.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
