Default disappearing xenia mystery

can anyone offer any clues , I have a pink xenia that over the last week has magically vanished. It had 3 large stalks & at night 1 stalk has disapppeared, the last one was fine at 6 this morning when I left & now it is gone too. I can not find a trace of it anywhere in the tank.

xenia sometimes fights with other corals, causing the xenia to basically melt away and disappear. Running carbon sometimes helps to keep corals from fighting.

FYI if you post questions in the reef section of the forum you will get answered faster. But don't worry, a mod can move this thread to the reef section for you, and next time you can post questions there

before this is moved, I once had a very large xenia stock that disappeared overnight with nothing around it. all it takes is one coral somewhere in the tank to dislike its presence and release some nasty chemical warfare and obliterate the xenia
