No fan for the Maxspect R420R

Ok something really weird i'm installing my new Maxspect R420R Lighting system , i have four and none of them have their fan working, is this normal any thoughts or am i just very very unlucky.........

I have the 160w razor as well. The fan only comes on for a few minutes at a time, and usually only when it is running close to full power. The entire light is essentially a heat sync so there is no reason it should be on that much.

I like the direction youre going with the rock work! cant wait to see it grown out!

but as for the fans, from what ive read they don't turn on very often. only when needed, as in getting too hot. so that's actually a good thing.

I have the same light, only mine is still in the box... :P

Ok i got the explanation from YouTube, Marine Depot; they start only when needed. The wing shape design is suppose to dissipate most of the heat except when its on 100% then it uses the 2 fans when ever its too hot. I knew i couldn't be that unlucky, but man. I had 2 set back today........
