This is the actual locks I want to use but dont know if I need to have a power supply for each lock or if I can just use one power supply.

Any advise Jeff?

Mmmm! Your right, but I don't remember spending that much on mine...only need one magnet and the latches are sold separate.
But, my magnet has a picture of a little bear on it...Huh.

I like these, especially the price. Almost the same idea as the ones Donald posted but at a much nicer price point. Going to stop while I'm up in Edmonton tomorrow & check them out. Even the wife want some for the new kitchen lower cabinets.

You need a constant power to the electric mag locks and something to interrupt that power to open them as for the latch style you add power to release

Stopped at Lee Valley today & picked up a box load of these latches, very cool, sleek & easy to install. I will snap a few better pics of one installed tomorrow.

Ok so as promised here are some pics of the latches installed. Thanks for the tip Rob much easier locking solution.

Doors closed and locks engaged:

Magnetic knob on the outside holding the lock tab in so the door can open:

Now a neat feature, as you see in the first pic the red lever is down. If you hold the lock tab in and flip the red lever up it will hold the lock tab in so you can open & close the door with out the magnetic knob:
