Default and I'm sure I'm getting the right results .

i am using red sea test kits which i heard are one of the best! oh and i add the Seachem Reef Complete directly to the tank! just started today with the stuff, I have a 72 gal tank with i believe around 5 Gal canister and skimmer also that skims up to 100 gal!

You need to post what your levels are

Magnesium
Alk
Calcium
Nitrate
Phosphate
PH

Saying off the chart or high isn’t helping us. We need numbers

Reef Complete is not a balanced calcium alkalinity solution. You shouldn't be adding anything unless you are sure why you are adding it. You do not need to add magnesium if you have 1600 ppm magnesium.

Ideally you should be managing your calcium and alkalinity either by using a balanced 2 part solution, kalkwasser or a calcium reactor.

You might be better off to get your numbers in check to do several large water changes or better yet many many smaller water changes.

Once you have your numbers in check then you find a good way to manage your calcium and alkalinity needs.

14 is where most Corals die some earlier.

Didn’t read how you’re dosing alk and ca...

My tank recently went out of wack too but over the 2 year mark.

If your manually dosing ca and alk I would dose ca only and not dose any alk, test every other day and watch the alk slowly go down to 8ish.

As you bring up the ca it should stabilize the alk.

Default levels are :

KH/ALK=4.9 meq 13.7 dkh , Cal = 50, and Mag is higher then 1600 ppm . oh and and nitrate and PH are low and at safe levels i think ? don't have a phosphate test yet
