Default Flex 1.5in tubing in GVRD?

I've seen some builds with flex tubing that looks to be cemented to the hard PVC pipes. Where does someone pick stuff like this up and is there any downside to using it?

Do you mean Spa Flex? Good for reducing pump noise in the return line. Get it at any pool and spa store.

I've only walked around that store in a state of severe sticker shock so I'm not sure.

You're probably thinking of simply flexible PVC pipe (hence why it can be cemented into fittings like normal ridgid pipe). It may have trade names but any decent irrigation supply place should carry it. I've done a few orders with these guys online http://flexpvc.com/ who do carry it and tons of fittings to go with. I've also gotten some PVC fittings and pipe from Corix Water Products in Surrey. If you get desperate you can give them a call but I think they're some distance from you. I'm sure a quick search in superpages and a couple phone calls should get you in touch with a closer reseller.

Vancouver Irrigation on Venables sells it (as well as almost any other type of PVC fitting imaginable), not sure of the 1.5" size, but imagine that is a standard size for large tubs.

They look like they are in the states and i don't think i want to ship PVC pipes over the boarder to find out what UPS charges in brokerage fees!

Vancouver irrigation doesnt have products online but I may drive down and check them out.

I got mine from New Line hose and fittings in Burnaby.

Just google them for their site or shoot me a pm.

I know Rona has 1" for sure, I've bought it there before. Not sure about 1.5" though. They just call it "flexible PVC."

I bought lots of it, and many fittings, as well as the the hard piping at :

Ideal Pool & Patio Supply Ltd
340 Lynn Avenue, North Vancouver, BC V7J 2C5
(604) 980-3467

http://maps.google.ca/maps/place?cid...d8cSoAw&dtab=2

Their prices were very competitive.
