If it's still milky, I'd start over. What kind of salt?

Probably went milky because of high SG. What's the SG in the pail?

If you have RO water in the tank and it's been heated and aerated, you can mix the salt right in the tank. Keep testing SG while mixing the salt in so you get the right SG. I keep mine at 1.025 at 78-80F.

seed it with some live sand so the bacteria can weigh down the suspended particles.

well....i decided to drain it......then i filled it back up with the RO water...... but didnt add the salt...and its the same...so it must just be the carib sea sand i used......always have used crystal sea.....i hated kent......stuck a hot magnum on...its gettin better........i always like to keep my salt at 1.023 and my temp at 78......just gotta wait it out which is annoying!!!!

You didn't mension that before, but you're probly right, the sand will cloud the water. It will go away after a day or two. Just keep the water circulating.
