Default FS: The Ultimate Complete Setup 60G (48ft tank)

I m finally giving up. Nothing seems to be right. Whenever I think the tank going turn out okie something disastrous happens. Tonight as I did my water change I realized that the cheato has broken apart and have shot all into the tank and into the sump, and clogging up the pump. Too much dead algae and accumulated waste. My skimmer been skimming non stop due to added waste.

I don't want to deal with any of this BS anymore, so I will begin with selling off the remainder of the lifestock, then I will work my way to the equipment. Over $5000 been wasted already, I don't want to deal with this anymore.

So here is the list of the equipment for sale. I had this setup since Feb 2013. Once the livestock is sold, and tank is empty I will notify who is first to pm me. Please no low balls as I am already selling for what its going for on this forum.

$150 - Tank + Stand: Hagen Rimless 60 gallon tank (48x19x16) Very beautiful tank. One of a kind and rare. The stand is a standard Hagen stand. Its very elegant and matches any decor. One minor scratch at the lower left corner. It does need some TLC if you mind the coraline algae growing on the back glass.

Who ever buys the tank/stand there is also 70 lbs of sand as well you can have with the tank for free !!!

$100 - Lifereefer Overflow Box + silencer: This is the best overflow box on the market. Read the reviews and you will know why its so expensive. Super quiet and guarantee to siphon once the pump is turn on.

$20 - Sump: 14 gallon Hagen sump (20x14x10). It was made by a forum member here, and it has three compartments (skimmer/intake + cheato + return / reactor area)

Anyone that wants this as a full set up - $250

$650 - 2 x AI Sol Blue / Controller / AI 48 inch rail. I made a custom wood hanging stand for this tank set up that matches perfectly and looks amazing. Its not painted at the moment, but if you paint it black it will match the Hagen stand.

$40 - Jebao WP25. Bought this couple months ago, lightly used.

$10 - Hydor Koralia Evolution Powerhead (425 GPH)

$125 - 2 x BRS doser pumps. I bought these off a forum member last year brand new never used. I never got around setting it up.

$55 - Phosban Reactor + Eheim Compact 600 Pump - used for less than 1.5 months

$40 - Hydor 740 Universal Pump - 740 gph - used for less than 1.5 months

$75 - Innovative Marine Desktop MiniMax Media Reactor (150 mL)

If anyone wants everything as a package I can sell it for $1200.

If you do buy as a package at my asking price or very close to it, I will throw in additional things like Brightwell Part A/B + Magnesium. Brightwell Phosphate media. As well as brand new bottle of SeaChem Prime + Brand new 160 gallon Instant Ocean salt. Brand new pack of PE Mysis.

Several of the items comes with original box.

Yeah apparently I did. First issue was cranking up my LEDs too fast and it melted/bleached all the corals. Second issue was accidentally too much soap on my hands. Then last night realized too much cheato not a good thing, as the bottom parts dont get enough light and die; so lots of waste and particles all over the tank.

Live and Learn I guess.

haha thanks guys!!! Yeah I think I will take a break for now. I am keeping the skimmer/osmolator/reefkeeper lite/heater.

If I were to start over again, I m going a different route. So don't need these equipment.

Next time around I plan to get a drilled tank =)

By the way, do you think I should post the lights in a separate thread? Seems like its not getting the proper exposure?
