First post of pics of aquarium. Warning: Large Pics.
Hi all,
Well the the 50g is about 5 months in now and I thought I'd share some pics of the setup. There isn't much more I want to do with it but just to let everything grow in. I'll most probably add one more fish - a black clown and then it's done....yeah, right Cheers. The whole shebang! Thanks all!
I wanted to keep the setup fairly simple. This what I have running now:
I feed the three fishes (and the plate, brain and bubble coral) with brine, mysis or squid and NLS pellets. I also feed the filter feeders with phytoplankton and rotifers. Every once in a while I feed with Reef Roids, but don't really know if it makes a difference. I also have a handfull of Halymenia in the tank for excess nutrient absorption. Very nice, great pics. Really like the brain and yellow leather. Where did you find such nice big peices ? Notice your not running with a sump ?

The brain was rescued...uh I mean purchased from Big Al's. It needed a good home. Thing is, I haven't seen such a large brain anywhere else for sale. The Yellow Tonga Leather was purchased from a fellow reefer in town. I'm not running a sump because of limited space and wanting to keep things simple. For a 50 gallon, hopefully what I have will suffice. Water changes are 10% weekly. Cheers. |
