Default Loud jaebo dc 12000

Picked up jaebo dc pump and it's quite loud. I did read that they require a break in time.

Anyone have some pump or issue?

Wow interesting.

I was looking on that pump to replace my noise maker Mag return pump. I had purchased the DCT 4000 and used it in my frag tank to try, I'm quite happy with it. It is very quiet.

Thanks for the feedback.

I run a dct 12000 in my tank and its super quiet. If you bought it new take it back. If not... take it apart. My peninsula divides my living room and dining room so I also specifically concentrated on finding a quiet return pump. Mine has been running at 100% since Nov now with no issues and I find its exceptionally quiet. I did also buy another one as a back up because I dont have a lot of faith in the Jebao stuff yet... But no issues to speak of so far. I also run two of the rw 20 powerheads and also bought two spares. All four powerheads and both pumps still cost me less than what just two of of the premium powerheads would have cost me. So that was part of the reason too.

My DC12000 is really quiet as well. Way more quiet then when I had a Mag 18, and even at level 6 there is very little noise. I agree, if the unit is within warranty period, I would get it looked at.

I run my dc12000 at full power and it does give off a slight humming noise but for the most part its fine. btw if you have the older gen make sure you get an extra power supply, they have a tendency to go around the year mark.
