Default SeaShells New Tank

Well, the algae blooms are gone and the tanks a month old. I lost most of my coral in the transfer from the old tank to the new one (what an odour!)..... but some of it's on it's way back and I've added a couple of small items.

Just thought I'd post a picture.

I moved up to this 140 gallon from a 55 gallon and I can't wait until it's filled to the brim!

I am beginning to realize that taking true pictures of a tank is a challenge. I can never seem to get the colors or clarity I want.

Anyway.... Here it is!

You know, Mark.... I think I just moved it over too soon. The mushrooms took offense and started dieing, the zenia started dieing, and the hammerhead died and it was downhill from there. I'm sure it was my fault.

I'd assumed that because I used the 55 gallons of water and live rock from the first tank that acclimitization would be quicker. I guess it wasn't. To me, using the old 55 and adding 50 would have equated to a 50% water change in the old system. I've done large water changes before without consequence. But it seems this went sour.
