Default Is it dead?

I got this orange duster guy and I don't think it's doing to well. I think the current might have been to strong but I noticed it lost it's slime coat and it's floating. I don't know if I should move it and burry it in the sand or flush it cause it's dead.
Here's a picture of it:

was it in a tube?
sometimes they will leave the tube if stressed, might not be dead.

I would leave it. As long as nothing is picking on the worm it will be okay and build a new tube.

I wouldn't bury it, the tube is used to protect it from the substrate so burying it will damage the flesh. Get it in a low flow/low light area of the tank so it can start a new tube.
Just curious, what kind of substrate is that in the pic?

It's Tahitian moon sand, I'm going to move him to the big tank, less flow and lower lights.
Thanks
