Toad Stool HELP!!
Iv had a toad stool for about 8 months and about a month ago he stopped comming out, We had an algae outbreak around the same time but that has been corrected but still he has not come out even once and remains shrivled up. Can Anyone explain to me what going on he seems to be alive as he sheds and is still a bit slimy. Below are some pics of him now. He keeps acumulating algae on him and I try to keep up on rubbing it off but it seems pointless I think hes a lost cause..

It needs to have more water flow directed on to it. Leathers molt every now & again but need a little direct flow on them to help it through this phase.

They do well with plenty of water flow and optimal (or at least decent) water chemistry. If algae is an ongoing problem you probably have high levels of nitrate and or phosphate. You may need to make some changes to your maintenance practices or filtration but without more information on your system I'm just making assumptions.
