they're tonnes of these little white critters crawling on my glass. i couldn't really get a good shot on them. they range from like a little spec of sand to 1mm. what are they are are they ok for my tank?

Sounds like copods and they are good.

awesome thanks...it was weird, when i turned on the light there were a lot but about 20 minutes later when i checked they all disappeared

Mine actually build in numbers over the course of the day once the lights are on. Those are definitely copepods tho. Think of them as free food for your fish!
