I will sometimes use h2o2 to dip a piece of rock i can remove or a frag if it has algae on it. For that, i use a 1:1 ratio. Take a toothbrush to scrub anything off. Also works great for hair algae. You can get h2o2 at a pharmacy. I use 3%.

Do you have air running or just letting the skimmer take care if it, do you use kalkwasser?

My skimmer does a good enough job. It takes in water from the surface and releases bubbles at the surface.

Just monitor your fish. Doesn't hurt to throw in an air pump but i don't think you'll need it.

So looks like its under control, cutting down the photo period by 2 hours helped huge. I notice at the end of the day it starts to come back but then the lights go down and its fine. Just have to be patient i guess! Thanks for the help everyone!!!

FYI, hydrogen peroxide breaks down in to oxygen and water. It's sometimes used to oxygenate tank water in power outage emergencies. It also breaks down pretty rapidly, so there's not a whole lot for the skimmer to remove.
