Default Water bill question

Currently I feel like im being bent over sideways on my water bill. For two months for water and sewage it was 450 dollars. Keep in mind we live in a small townhouse and only have 2 people in the house consuming water. Is this normal or is it time to get out of dodge.

You must be losing water somewhere in your system. That's one heck of alot of water. With a 250 gal system with auto topoff and 4 20 gal water changes a month my bill is only 55 bucks.

Yeah ours was $85 but thats sewer and garbage too. Ive filled our 60g and drained it at least 8 times too and I am pretty slow at getting out of the shower. So I think somethings definitely a muck there.

Turn off everything in the house and watch the meter....if it moves, you've got a problem.

Pay close attention to your toilets. Floats set to high, or a float not closing 100% can cause the tank to overflow. Water runs down the overflow tube, through the bowl and into the drain. Leaky flappers will do similar but usually you will hear the tank refill frequently.
