Default Over flow designs.

Ok so I need help! Yes not just with the brain side lol.

I'm planning a new tank and would like to go external overflow but can't make up my mind for definite. Tank I think is going to be 6' 30" wide 26" tall. These could change. What's every ones thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Loudest part of my system would be the nagging sound I hear on a regular basis about how much time and money I spend on the tank.

My only regret on my tank is the overflow being internal rather than external. It blocks a lot of light and takes up a lot of space.

I went with an external, almost coas-to-coast overflow with a beananimal set up. Best set up ever!

Don't you think with an external at 30" wide that would push it out from the wall to far? How wide should an external be? 4-6".
