My next tank would be a small cube. Ideal depends on what you want to keep.

I'd like to do a 6'x6'x2' either in the centre of a room (visible from all sides) or as a room divider/in place of a wall... when I win the lotto of course

4'x2'x18" high , 2foot depth is great and shorter than 2 foot high is easier to work on and 4 foot is as long as I can fit , if I had space for a 16 foot long tank id have one.

If I wanted more corals than fish...smaller more cube-like dimensions. If I wanted lots of nice fish, tangs included, I would do a larger tank, 6+ feet in length.

My ideal or dream tank would be in the center of a room with bar seating all around it. 6'X4'X2' ... some day!

But like steve said....realistically its more based on where you are putting it, and how much space is available.

100% agreed, in my area where the tank is set up it would be 5L'X2.5W'X20H" that would fill out that wall,

I thought it was 84 x 32 x 26 but now that i've filled that up...96 x 36 x 28 seems more appropriate. Peninsula of course.
