Atman Voluntary Recall notice.

We were informed over the weekend of an issue with one Atman pump where the unit shorted, to this effect and as a very responsible distributor we are putting out a voluntary recall on all Atman pumped Bubble Magus skimmers sold through ourselves via our dealer network Only.

We are working with Bubble Magus to investigate this one incident, in the meantime we must advise not to use Atman pumps. We will be contacting vendors with a notice and resolution.

Please note - the Atman pump is supplied by dozens of distribution networks and products and probably the most widely used pump. This notice is our own decision and we will not be offering any recall of Atman pumps supplied through other distributors or manufacturers. Serial numbers will be required and receipts of purchase.

The good news - The Curve range of skimmers come with TUV certified Rock pumps for safety and quality, this is something we personally had done at our full cost so we will not have this issue again. We now have full control of quality

Update - The issue seems to be overheating, we are working with Bubble Magus for a swift solution to all the pumps (ONLY) supplied through us.

Please contact your vendor for them to contact us for the solution.

From now on we are in full control of quality with the implementation of the TUV approved rock pumps that we personally had approved.

Hi

There have been a few incidences of the Atman overheating, although not uncommon with pumps there was one single incident where the pump whether related to overheating or not we can not determine went bang and cracked the sump.

This was one single incident, however as we can not confirm what indeed happened to the pump to fail, we must take action. Bubble Magus are making retrofit parts so the new TUV approved Rock pump can be fitted to all NAC skimmers.

This could take a few weeks to get made obviously, so Bubble Magus are offering clients the option to upgrade to a Curve at a heavily reduced price for example a curve 7 skimmer for $99 + shipping instead of $249 these come into stock week 2 of March.

If you wish to be put on this list please contact your vendor to contact us. (Old skimmer has to be returned) And must be proven to be originally distributed through us.
