There really isnt much to my sump, skimmer, zeo reactor, carbon chamber, and 2 return pumps. Quiet One 4000 (return to display) Mag 9 (return to fuge and frag tank, and also branches off to chiller). No baffles at all and I still dont get any micro bubbles.

On a side note, I love my Euroreef skimmer, the skimmate in the pic is 4 or 5 days worth of the thickest goo, its so disgusting its beautiful ( I like to feed my fish really well).

Is there any interest in any of these corals?
I want to do a large pruning but I need for the frags to go somewhere.
Let me know.

I know there hasn't been a post on here in a little while but I have a question reguarding the light fixture you are/were using. I'm interested in purchasing one of the Sun Blaze 48 fixtures for use over a 75 gallon SPS reef I'm building and am wondering, from your experience, what the pros and cons are to using this system on a reef. Appreciate your input very much as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of folks who use this light setup. Thanks!

Pros:
Very bright with individual reflectors
very little heat transfered to tank
lots of bulb combinations

Cons:
no built in fans
no place to put a splash guard
and for some reason they built this light with the 2 switches so you can run it in 2 - 4 bulb combos, problem is, there is only 1 power cord, so all the bulbs have to run off one timer.

Sweet! Thanks very much. From looking at it, I get the impression that, while there are better fixtures more suited to reefs, for what this one does have it's more than worth the cost. Your tank in this thread looks phenomenal and if that is any indication, I'm very excited about this fixture. Weird that they'd do two switches but one cord. Oh well, I guess it's still cool that you can shut off one half if you like. Could come in handy. Thanks for the info.

Its been a while since I last posted so here is an update.

Big news is I finally did a big water change (180 gallon water change to be precise)

Then yesterday I got a new addition to my new reef tank.

Very happy with the new setup

Thanks
Everything faded a little after the transfer from the 72, but things are really starting to look good.

My new atlantic blue tang has made himself right at home. Sure has a big appetite too!
