*fumbles and runs to grab the scissors* anytime girly

Ive got a couple things to post about....first one being....Ive finally got the dosing pump set up.....I put it off and put it off thinking I was gonna need time to "set it up"....it was a breeeeeze to set up *feels like a knob for putting it off*....Im very impressed with how easy it was to program....and equally impressed with the fact I dont have to worry about forgetting to dose one or the other anymore....still think its expensive though

I started dosing the tank with Kents phytomax and zoomax a few weeks ago because I have a lot of sessile inverts and have added a few more in the add-on tank (feather dusters, seafans, gorg)....Ive noticed (and others have too) that the polyp extension on most of my sps is insane....Ive been stable for months with my Pohl's product dosing, so Im pretty sure that it is the Kent products have caused massive vomiting of the polyps lately ...

Or it could be that I started using the Pohl's "Eisenguard" or whatever its called, Iron stuff (sposed to make you sps more greener)....Just started with this one, so we'll see how it goes....Im worried that it may "stimulate" algae growth...

Here's some pics for yous

A little while ago I posted in a thread about how many fish would you put in 230G....post #24.... http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...9&page=3.....I got a pretty big surprise tonight Tony dropped by with his "nitrate reading electronic gadget" (wanted to word that so as to avoid any smart-arse comments) and he tested the water for me....I was in the middle of getting ready to do a w/c when I got the PM from Tony about coming over so I postponed the actual water swap til after he came....it had been three weeks since my last w/c(got busy and lazy last week when it was due)....I will give you all a run down of the bioload on the tank.....20ish fish, 11 clams, an oyster, a bit of coral,5(yes 5) BTAs, 2 sea fans, a gorg, feather duster, 2 cocoworms, 2 tuxedo urchins, linkia and fromia starfish, I have no idea how many snails and hermits....guessing probably 40-50 snails and 20 or so hermits, pom-pom crab, many acro crabs, I feed the fish generously once a day in the evening, almost always with rinsed frozen....I feed the recommended dosage of the following to the corals....KZ's AA, CV, SP, Xtra, Stylo-Pocci, and Kents Phytomax and Zoomax......Give it some thought and venture a guess....whats the magic nitrate number???
