Nice Setosa shot! Definitely an improvement :-).

By the way, I shoot tank photos for frags. Just thought I'd put that out there.

I think I will have to try my other lens to see if I can get closer. When I frag that setosa I will keep you in mind. I want it a bit bigger first.

Pics looks great man! Are you taking longer exposures? I find I have to take really long exposures to get good closeups (1-2 seconds ballpark, definitely needing a tripod and current stopped in the tank)..

Yeah I think I read someone's post where they were using 1.6 seconds which is what I have been playing with. I got my cheapo tripod from bestbuy for 18 bucks yesterday. It was 50% off.

And don't forget to turn your powerheads and possibly pumps off. At a very slow shutter speed the sway of polyps will be blurry :-)

It is quite a sight to see when you turn off all motion in your tank. My torch coral that is usually moving all over the place looks like it is frozen in time. It's really amazing.

Well I was trying to put something together using Eli's rock. (Fijireefrock.com) Still working on coral placement.

Ignore the one with the plug. I will be selling that one. The phone pic doesn't do the colors justice. One of these days I will break down and buy a macro lens.

If you look carefully, you can see the white frogspawn blending into the new rock at the front. I am going to cover the bottom in LPS and try some SPS up top. Who wants to donate some SPS. I will put little tags that say you sponsored that coral.
