Ok, I did some work today. A little anyway.

2 sheets of standard grade 3/4" plywood $50.
2 lbs of 1 3/4" screws $8.

I glued and screwed the plywood on. Gotta cut my doors out now, and put the top on, and the lower shelf. I have the plywood cut for the canopy too, but it's not put together yet.

I'm trying to decide if I still want to go with doors on three sides or not. I did want it for easier access to the Banger grow out tanks in there, but now I'm not doing that. It will just be a 25g sump, so I'm not sure I need the three doors. BUT, I already have the hardware, and when I move the stand I'll be able to take the doors off and the tank will be a bit lighter. This stand is HEAVY!!!

Nice...I know what you mean by heavy...why do we do that to ourselves? It looks good. Wouldn't it have been easier to cut out the doors before you mounted the plywood?

Not in my books, but I had to square up the framing anyway, so it was easier to pry on it with full sheets than if I cut the centres out it may have been a bit floppy. I had to stand on it to pry it enough to square it up.

Not a one! It's still in the same state. Really though, I should cut the doors out and prep it for the finishing details.

There will be no primer and no paint. I have a different finish planned. I'm hoping to get working on it again soon.

Any new news? I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I can't harass you too much as I'm not much farther than I was either 2 weeks ago.

I am saving pennies like a bum!!! I still have to buy a car (on cash), so once I have done that I will begin to spend money on the tank again.
