Sorry for my absence. We have been swamped with the new warehouse.
And yes pic will follow soon

You can dose the Nacl free salts.
We do have them in stock. They are the old containers as nobody really uses the old system anymore, but the pics of that tank that have been posted all over are the with the Nacl free salts from Fauna.

Personally i do not use them and have been running Balling Light for many many many years now.

Now running the Trace elements sets with zeo.
The trace set that come with the balling light package are the trace elements that are absorbed in proportion to the ca, alk and Mg.
So yes they should work with your zeo system regardless of what you are dosing.

What trace elements are you currently dosing?
The trace set that comes with the balling system may have a slight overlap, or it may not. Depends on what you are dosing.

Fauna uses a higher purity in their ca, all, and Mg.
Plus they add biopolymers to improve coral coloration.
Thats the main difference.

Hey PFoster,

Just picked up the FM balling light Cal and ALK, I'm about to switch over from the last of the TM balling salts, I've been using around 86ml a day of both solutions dosed from a 2.5L vertex container, is there a cross over from TM to FM balling light ? Like if I'm using 86ml a day or TM what would that be in FM?

Or is FM more concentrated and thus a dose and test dose and test is what I need to do?

Thnx again.

Quick and easy answer is yes you will need to dose and test dose and test as the purities are not the same between the systems.

Perhaps we should do a test here and mix up a batch of the TM salts so that we can test it on a system and offer a "transition" formula for those coming over to the "colourful" side

Thnx guys,

I've been doing the old dose test dose test, and so far I've found that the Cal solution is way more concentrated, from just seeing the solution as it hits the water and I'm using only 40ml/day ware as with TM I was using 89ml/day.

Probly make sense since for the 2.5L dosing containers I use requires a whole 1kg bottle of FM for Cal only.

The ALK asks for 1/4 of the 1kg bottle to make a 2.5L solutions.

Fact: Our coral come in and colour up to gang buster amazing.

Fact: We use Fauna Marin Balling Light + Balling trace elements

Are there other ways to dose your system. Yes.
But this is the system that we personally use and believe in.

You want your corals to look great?
Post in the forum! We are more than happy to give you a hand.

Use other system and have amazing coloration, post up the pics!!

Here at RW, we are all die hard coral fanatics. We understand that additive system are a tool in your tool box and the most important thing for maintaining coral coloration is how you use your chosen system.

My chosen method is to dose sweat and tears into my tank! It's unproven but works for me.
